Plastic made from plants!

To reduce our carbon footprint throughout our production, we made the choice to use plastic derived from plants.

Water Efficient

Sugarcane is very water efficient. The plant gets virtually all of the water it needs from rain fall.

CO2 Absorption

When sugarcane is grown, it captures CO2 emissions. For every 1 ton of sugar-based plastic, 4 tons of carbon emissions are reduced.

Fertilizer

At the start of the season, sugarcane is fertilized with a nutrient-rich liquid collected from the sugarcane during harvest. Chemical and GMO free.

Plant-based plastics

That is right, the same stuff you use to fuel your car is also used to create plastic. Using petrochemicals for energy or plastic is damaging for our environment. When heated, these fossil fuels release CO2 and methane that become trapped in the atmosphere, which increases global warming.Finding a plant-based solution that was responsibly grown was our top priority. We wanted a plant that was fertilizer-free, supported local communities, and did not contribute to deforestation. We found this and more in the mighty sugarcane.
